We do we find interesting about the space project?

The space emergent project is proving to be a very popular and interesting learning experience. Today MS Nerissa and the children had a discussion about the facts of the planet Venus. Verity was particularly interested because the planet Venus begins with the same letter and sound as her name does. Maxwell was interested when MS Nerissa had said that Venus is planet earth’s sister. Maxwell had asked MS Nerissa what that meant. MS Nerissa explained that Venus is the second planet from the sun and earth is the third planet and that they are side by side (as she pointed to the inflatable planets hanging from the ceiling). Planet Venus is a similar size to planet earth and has a solid surface because it is made up of hot and deadly volcanoes, which Neo thought was interesting. Georgie and Hanna thought it was interesting that planet Venus rotates in opposite direct meaning it spins backwards.

Outcome 2.1.3: Take action to assist other children to participate in social groups. (EYLF)
