This Week’s Recipe: Chilli Con Carne

Learning OUTCOME: Element 2.2.1: Healthy eating is promoted and food and drinks provided by the service are nutritious and appropriate for each child (NQF).

This week’s recipe was a smash hit and was very popular to prepare, cook and sample. Chilli Con Carne was cooked collaboratively by MS Rina and the children with assistance from MS Alice and MS Nerissa. Neo was mixing the kidney beans and chick peas in his bowl whilst Maxwell was stirring the vegetables together in the electric frying pan. Once the vegetables were combined then MS Rina added the beef mince to the electric frying pan for Hanna to combine into the vegetables. The next step was MS Rina adding the sauce for Summer to stir into the beef mince and vegetable combination.
