My American Experience

NQF Learning Outcome Opportunity: Quality Area 1.2.2: Educators respond to children’s ideas and play and use intentional teaching to scaffold and extend each child’s learning.

Today Maxwell has brought in photo albums of his holiday in Miami, Florida, USA. MS Nerissa and the children are listening eagerly to Maxwell’s experiences as he explains them and shows photos of it. Maxwell has explained that his dad and dad’s family live in Miami and that they had a great time visiting different places such as the zoo and the park. Maxwell had also explained that his cousin had a birthday party and turned four years old, the same age as Maxwell. Georgie had asked Maxwell which animals did he see at the zoo? Maxwell had replied by saying he has seen a brown bear, a seagull, a moose and a wolf while visiting the zoo.
