Follow the map

EYLF Learning Outcome Opportunity: 2.1.2: Cooperate with others and negotiate roles and relationships in play episodes and group experiences.

As we continue to learn about our community we are following the roads from Kidscape (Elm St) to the post office (Cedar St). We are learning to follow direction as well as having a sense of direction. Verity said she knows Yungaburra quite well and can show us how to get to the pub then up the road to her mum’s employment.


Furthermore we are learning that our parents work in our community.  We have discussed the different occupations there are and what we think we might want to be when we grow up. Izaac has added a picture of his house in Yungaburra to the Yungaburra map. Freya has driven her car down the roads on the Yungaburra map that her dad drives down. Tyson and Zoe are working in the Global Free Style replica shop because Tyson said his mum Rachael works in that shop.
